Why You Should Be Using WordPress

On of the very first projects we did back in 2013, months after Exponent Technologies was founded was a static HTML website. We did a few of these and started trying out some CMS options. We tried several and made a few websites off them, the first one being developed off Joomla. After trying most of the CMS options available on the market, we learned that a lot of them were too complicated for clients to manage on their own. In comparison to the rest, we also found out that WordPress was so easy to use. If you can navigate your way around MS Word, then you can easily work with WordPress. At last, we had found a solution and chose WordPress and now make only WordPress websites. In this article, we are going to share a few reasons we feel you should be using WordPress to power your website.

Easy to Use and Learn

Millions of people around the world are using WordPress and the numbers keep on growing. One of the main reasons more people are joining the WordPress community is because they quickly adapt to WordPress as it is fairly easy to use.

Themes and Plugins

Most people start using WordPress with zero knowledge on computer programming. It’s possible to do this because WordPress has thousands of free templates called themes that you can choose and use to style your website. You can build just about any type of website with these themes be it corporate, non-profit, membership website, etc. Another thing about WordPress are the plugins. Think of these like applications that you install on a smartphone. Plugins make it easy to achieve certain functions or features that you want your website to have. For example if you want to have an online form on your website for site visitors to fill in, you can look for a plugin that does that and install in on your website and you will be up and running no time.

Easy To Maintain

WordPress has a built-in updater that notifies you about available updates for your theme or plugins you have installed and allows you to update them from within your WordPress admin dashboard.

Safe and Secure

WordPress is safe and secure to run any website as it is developed with security in mind. However, there can be no guarantees given that your website will be free from hackers.
